She works for the National Council for Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls leading their FreeHer VT Campaign. She has been organizing since she was a young teenager, formally beginning her journey as a Peer Educator for Planned Parenthood. Today, she is a Steering Committee Member for the Vermont Freedom Fund (VT's only bail fund) and on the Will Miller Social Justice Lecture Series board. She is unapologetically a prison abolitionist and believes true freedom cannot be realized until all systems of violence are abolished and we replace them with supports rooted in genuine love and care. Her experiences as a Black, Puerto Rican, queer woman push her to fight for changes in society that reflect the needs of people who have been historically oppressed.
