Meanwhile, the vast majority of the world&#8217;s population remains unvaccinated and at risk, because Big Pharma has put profits before lives.<\/p>\n<p>Join us for a discussion of how capitalism has made the COVID-19 crisis much worse than it should have been and what we can do to get out of this pandemic and prepare for the next one.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Greg Gonsalves<\/strong> is a global health activist, an epidemiologist, and an associate professor at Yale School of Public Health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dennis Kosuth<\/strong> is a nurse in the Chicago Public Schools, a rank-and-file activist in the Chicago Teachers Union, and a member of Tempest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Achal Prabhala<\/strong> is the coordinator of the AccessIBSA project, which campaigns for access to medicines in India, Brazil, and South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be broadcast live on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tempestmag\">Facebook<\/a> page and posted to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCkC7TabwAEmsxJCEw8yzg9Q\">YouTube<\/a> channel shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming event is on February 20 at 12:00 p.m. EST\/ 11:00 a.m. CST\/ 9:00 a.m. PST.
