{"id":4658,"date":"2021-11-16T22:14:10","date_gmt":"2021-11-17T03:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tempestmag.org\/v01_2020\/staging\/?p=4658"},"modified":"2021-11-20T00:15:18","modified_gmt":"2021-11-20T05:15:18","slug":"sudan-revolution-counter-revolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tempestmag.org\/test02\/2021\/11\/sudan-revolution-counter-revolution\/","title":{"rendered":"Sudan: revolution &#038; counter-revolution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"dropcap\">F<\/span>ollowing <a href=\"https:\/\/tempestmag.org\/test02\/2021\/10\/sudan-resists-the-coup\/\">an earlier event<\/a> last month, on November 8 the <em>Tempest Collective <\/em>co-sponsored another meeting on Sudan, this one hosted by<em> Haymarket Books <\/em>and also co-sponsored by <em>Africa is a Country<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Dissenters<\/em>,\u00a0<em>DSA AfroSocialist and Socialists of Color Caucus<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Internationalism from Below<\/em>,\u00a0<em>New Politics<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Review of African Political Economy (ROAPE)<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Spring Magazine. <\/em>These events speak to the importance of the resurgent and ongoing revolutionary process in Sudan.<\/p>\n<p>Below we post the video of the more recent Haymarket meeting, with the hope of soon providing a transcript of the powerful and elucidating presentations.<\/p>\n<p>We also want to share this incredible graphic, created by the artist <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lizar_tistry?lang=en\">@lizar_tistry<\/a>, explaining the recent history of events in Sudan.
