Here, in a long-stolen homeland,<\/span><\/p>\n

in a country insecure, paranoid, and<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 empty,<\/span><\/p>\n

supplier of smart bombs, dumb<\/span><\/p>\n

bombs, sound-bites so inane they clearly embody<\/span><\/p>\n

the essence\u00a0 of those at the top:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 empty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here, at the heart of complicity,<\/span><\/p>\n

at a university whose dollar-seeking rules\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

demand obedience and indifference to Others\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 destruction,<\/span><\/p>\n

you students,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

you staff,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

you faculty,<\/span><\/p>\n

Palestinian, Jewish, and other,<\/span><\/p>\n

have the gall,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the <\/span>chutzpah<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

to say\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NO!,<\/span><\/p>\n

to dare to<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 care.<\/span><\/p>\n

I sit with you, see your willingness<\/span><\/p>\n

to defy arrests, teargas, and violent cops,<\/span><\/p>\n

see you cram for exams in the off times,<\/span><\/p>\n

hear you talk strategy, wisdom, and virtue<\/span><\/p>\n

in a country of amoral<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0rot-at-the-top.<\/span><\/p>\n

I watch a video where one of you<\/span><\/p>\n

chastises the Board of Governors,<\/span><\/p>\n

calmly,<\/span><\/p>\n

logically,<\/span><\/p>\n

wisely<\/span><\/p>\n

telling these empty yes-men to<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 fuck off,<\/span><\/p>\n

perfect<\/span><\/p>\n

evidence<\/span><\/p>\n

that despite Biden\u2019s, DeSantis\u2019s, and Greenblatt\u2019s<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 lies,<\/span><\/p>\n

our encampments are full of wisdom,<\/span><\/p>\n

full of love,<\/span><\/p>\n

full of morality,<\/span><\/p>\n

as they expose the amoral cruelty<\/span><\/p>\n

of those who batter students here<\/span><\/p>\n

while Gaza<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 dies.<\/span><\/p>\n
